Bliss Integrated Communication is a business to business marketing communication agency. They are a new breed of agency – focused yet integrated, serving clients in three core sectors: healthcare, financial services and professional services. They focus on goals, audiences, messages and results, not on stand-alone tactics. The longevity of their client relationships (many of which extend more than a decade) is a testament to the impact of their work.
Bliss came to us with an exciting proposal. They wanted new website from the ground up which would reflect all of the excitement surrounding their new brand. They were expanding in new directions, trying new ideas, reaching out to new clients. At the same time, they did not want to lose focus of the work that has made them so successful and brought them to this point. Working with their vibrant new color scheme, our designers came up with a clean, highly functional and easy-to-navigate design. Each section was custom-designed, page-by-page from the ground-up.
We would like to thank you for a great-looking website and for staying the course with us as we figured out our domaine issues during the project. I hope this testimonial from Career Gear will be helpful to you as you continue to grow your business.
Career Gear’s Job Readiness, Professional Development Series and Mentoring Programs address not only individual client needs, but the impact that being jobless or underemployed can have on families and communities. Being out of work or underemployed can break a man’s connection with the world around him and result in poverty, poor health, prison, lack of family cohesion and more.
For men who seek to better themselves against great odds, Career Gear is a lifeline of ongoing support as they make a change for the better. Surviving that crucial job interview is an important step, yet daily life can often make it tough to keep up the momentum. Through weekly peer workshops, one-on-one mentoring and a supportive environment, our clients make the connections and build the confidence to find work, keep it and continue down the path of personal development and economic self-sufficiency.
In 12 years of existence, Career Gear is proud to have helped over 30,000 disconnected and under-served job seeking men become self-sufficient members of their communities.
The Princeton University Rowing Program selected us to help build their online community. They have several types of readers and wanted to be able to engage all of them with relevant content. There is a great deal of public information, such as race schedule, directions, results, pictures and videos. There is information for potential recruits on the programs, the university and the requirements.
There is also information which only a select group of people should be able to see: the current rowers and parents want to be able to see their workouts and communicate with coaches. The alumni want to share personal updates and contact information with each other, not the entire world. The coaches want to send out newsletters, but with the ability to select who is allowed to receive them.
Finally, the most important part was that the coaches need to run the site without the help of programmers. They need to be able to write and format new articles, update email addresses, adjust menus, upload pictures and videos – all without ever leaving the site or having to understand HTML.
For this project, we chose Drupal, our favorite open-source Content Management System and designed a theme based on Marinelli. This allowed us to modify every detail of the site to meet the specific requirements of the client while at the same time not having to redesign the wheel. Ultimately, the coaches are very satisfied with the look and feel as well as the ease-of-use.
What’s next? We will be integrating CiviCRM into the back end of the website so that the Princeton University Rowing Association can track and manage their donor database. It’s an exciting project and we are looking forward to it!
The new website that Community Structure designed for our rowing program at Princeton is incredible. It allows all of our staff to easily add and update any kind of content to our site at any time from any machine, smart phone or iPad. News stories, blogs, pictures, video, anything. This has allowed us to ensure that we always have up-to-date content on our site and it has greatly increased return traffic to our site.
Community Structure worked with us to re-design our website with the primary goal of improved search optimization. We wanted our website to be aesthetically pleasing and easy to navigate. It had to appeal to a wide range of users from parents and their high school students to high school and college rowing coaches. John was extremely responsive to our thoughts and ideas and did not “oversell” to us. He designed and developed a site that worked for us and allowed us to have some degree of independence from him by teaching us to use WordPress. We had initial conversations to determine our needs and many follow up e-mails and conversations as the process continued. John was always available to us even when there was a last minute change that needed to be made. John stuck to the time line that we initially established and has been responsive to small edits that we need on an ongoing basis. We are happy to recommend John to anyone wanting a web developer and designer.
We had a great experience with Community Structure, working with them allowed us to build a great website on a very tight budget, without sacrificing all the web-2.0 features we needed to help get up-to-the-minute information like race results out to our parents and alumni. It’s also quite easy for us to update and maintain the website ourselves despite not having extensive web-development backgrounds.
I engaged Community Structure for my project because they provide a streamlined framework for completing community-based portals in a timely and cost-efficient manner. From pre-sales to launch to maintenance, they continue to be flexible, easy to work with, and extremely responsive. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a technical partner for their hosting and web development needs.
